How admission works in Faridabad
- Engineering (B.Tech): Take JEE Main. Haryana government and private-affiliated colleges fill seats through HSTES counselling. Private universities such as MRIIRS, MRU and Lingaya's also accept their own tests.
- Medical and dental (MBBS/BDS): Qualify NEET UG. ESIC all-India seats and deemed-university seats go through MCC counselling; state-quota seats go through Haryana counselling.

- Law: Use CLAT, LSAT India, CUET or the university's own test.
- Research (PhD): RCB and THSTI hold their own written tests and interviews; CSIR/UGC-NET or DBT-JRF fellowships help.
How to choose the right college in Faridabad
- Check the NIRF 2025 position in the right category, not just the brand. MRIIRS and MRU are different universities with different results.
- Compare total cost: J.C. Bose University and government colleges cost a fraction of private universities.
- Look at placements by branch: Ask for median packages, not only the highest offer.
- Consider commute: The Violet Line metro runs along Mathura Road, while the Sector 43 and Jasana campuses need road transport.
- Confirm approvals: UGC for universities, AICTE for engineering and management, NMC/NDC for medical and dental.
Tip: If you have a good JEE Main percentile and are a Haryana domicile, put J.C. Bose University at the top of your HSTES choices. If not, compare it with other state options in our list of the top engineering colleges in Haryana.
